Rascal & Rukus were originally purchased from Critter Jungle about 1.5 years ago. They are currently estimated to be almost 2 years old. Unfortunately, they ended up in an unsafe environment and their owner surrendered them to the Rescue.
These boys are understandably, very nervous.
They need a patient and experienced guardian to continue their socialization.
With their current foster, they are now comfortable with climbing up on to her shoulder if you are calm and patient and not forceful.
They will also allow some minimal touching/petting if they are being distracted by a yummy treat. They are still not comfortable with being picked up or handled directly. Their ideal home is rat guardian who has experience rehabilitating scared or previously abused pet rats.
