Dusty and Remi were part of a group of 13 baby rats who were dumped outside in a Brockville cemetery. Due to sheer coincidence, a kind couple were at the time out walking their dog and they watched as a woman with a plastic bag abandoned them outside to fend for themselves.
We estimate that they were born some time in early April of 2023.
Luckily, all of the babies are incredibly sweet, easy to handle, and just want some love. They didn’t even try to run away from their rescuers who were able to just scoop them up by hand. Dusty and Remi are no exception! They are always happy to see their fosters and love to cover their hands in kisses.
If you’re looking for extremely social, sweet, and adorable boys to care for as part of your family, please fill out an adoption application form. Dusty and Remi can also be adopted with their brothers Leo and Eddie.
