Update: January 3, 2023. Yoda is now a permanent resident of the Rescue living with his foster mom and her four boys. He is currently being sponsored by Blair.
Update: Nov. 11, 2022. Panna was confirmed to have a facial mass. Unfortunately most like a tumor. We attempted treatment with an anti-inflammatory and antibiotic in case it was an abscess. On Nov. 29 it was confirmed to be a tumor which had grown rapidly and was now impacting his ability to breath. At our vet’s recommendation, he was euthanized.
Brothers Panna & Yoda are estimated to be born some time in October of 2021. If you’re looking for sweet cuddly boys to join your family, then look no further!
These two tightly bonded brothers were surrendered by a former breeder who decided she no longer wanted to breed rats, so we decided to help her. These two are the last two boys she ever kept.
Yoda arrived with a skin infection causing him to have almost no hair as well as a respiratory infection that had been left untreated for several months. Thankfully, after 3 weeks of Chloramphenicol (for his skin) followed by another 3 week course of Enrofloxacin and Doxycycline (for his respiratory infection), his hair is completely back and his breathing is 80% better! Yoda will likely need to remain on Doxycycline for the remainder of his life to keep his breathing under control. Luckily, he loves to take his meds in a bit of pudding or dairy-free yogurt.
They are the definition of sweet, loving and well-behaved. Their foster mom is completely in love with the two of them!
