Beatrix & Nora have not had an easy life so far. We estimate that they were born November of 2021 and are most likely sisters. On one of the coldest days of winter, they were found in a taped up box on the side of the road in Napanee, ON. Luckily, a kind human found them and brought them to the Rescue.
Unluckily for us, they were in that box with a male and were both pregnant. Beatrix gave birth on Feb. 11, 2022 while Pip gave birth on Feb. 3, 2022. Understandably, both of them arrived at the Rescue extremely timid and shy. Beatrix especially had a nipping problem, but this was mainly due to her strong instincts to protect her babies.
Now that all of the babies have been weaned, and Beatrix and Nora have spent close to a month with a loving foster, both of them have had a complete change in personality.
Nora especially is now completely careful and such a joy to be around. She loves to be picked up and is always begging to come out and ride around on your shoulders. You would never guess based on her behaviour that she was ever tossed out in a box!
Beatrix meanwhile has also made huge progress, and while she’s still a little bit timid around strangers, it doesn’t take her long to warm up to you and climb into your lap. Both girls are definitely ready for their forever home!
Beatrix and Nora can be adopted with their friends/sisters, Pip & Lexi.
