Treat Bucket Challenge

Because every rat deserves to be showered with love!

We’re assuming you’ve heard of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. If you haven’t, it’s an awareness campaign and fundraising drive that has the goal of educating people about ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and raising money for research to do with this disease. It’s been tremendously successful – donations to ALS charities have skyrocketed.

Last week, an intrepid rat guardian decided that dumping cold water on her rat was likely not a good idea, so she invented the “Yogi Bucket Challenge“, asking for people to donate to their local animal rescue. We thought this was a pretty great idea – so we’ve decided to jump on this train and ask you to consider OPRats as your animal rescue of choice.

We’d also like to extend a challenge out to all rat owners reading this to conduct their own treat bucket challenge with their furry friends, nominate two other rat owners, post the video to YouTube, send us the link so we can add it to a playlist of cuteness, and consider making a donation.
